CHAPTER (16)Why is alcohol forbidden (haram) in Islam?

Question: - Why is alcohol forbidden (haram) in Islam?                                                                                 Answer:- Alcohol has always been a curse for the human society.  Countless people have been dying due to its consumption.  Its consumption has been a cause of sorrow and trouble for millions of people of the world.  Alcohol has been a global cause of various difficulties faced by human society.  The way the rate of crimes is increasing day by day, the incidence of mental diseases of people is increasing and millions of people.  Family life is falling apart, behind all this the silent destructive power of alcohol is working.                                                                                                                     1. Prohibition of alcohol in the Holy Quran The following verse mentions the prohibition of alcohol in the Holy Qur'an "O believers! This alcohol and gambling and gods and dice are evil deeds, so stay away from them so that you may be successful." (  Qur'an, 5:90 )                                                              2. Prohibition of alcohol in the Bible The consumption of alcohol has also been prohibited in the Bible— (i) "Wine drinker and wine (liquor) rumble is not wise."  (ii) "Do not be drunk with wine." (Proverbs,

20/1) (Ephesians, 5/18)

[10:30 am, 23/12/2021] Ikku:                                                                                                                             3. Alcohol damages human stamina, there is an inhibitory center in the human brain.  This center keeps him from doing such things which he considers wrong.  Like a person in a normal condition while talking to his parents or elders, does not abuse, does not say abusive words.  If he intends to defecate in front of people, then this obstructive center of his prevents him from doing so.  That's why the person uses the toilet.  When a person consumes alcohol, this inhibitory center loses its power of inhibition.  This is the root cause due to which a person addicted to alcohol often behaves in such a way that does not match at all with his regular habits and qualities, such as a person who is intoxicated is seen to talk to his parents.  While doing them very rude and vulgar abuses are being made.  Some alcoholics even urinate in their clothes.  The drinker is neither able to talk properly nor walk properly.  4. Incidents of adultery, rape, sex with relatives like parents and siblings, and AIDS, etc., occur mostly with drinkers, according to the National Crime Victimization Survey Bureau of Justice (US Dept. of Justice) only.  In 1996 there were 2,713 incidents of rape every day.  Statistics show that most of the rapists are people who were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crime.  Most of the drinkers are involved in the incidents of molestation with girls.  According to statistics, 8 percent of Americans engage in sex with sacred relatives such as parents and siblings. This means that one in every 12 13 Americans engages in sex with those of the above sacred relationship.  In most of these incidents both men and women

[10:31 am, 23/12/2021] Ikku: Or one of them is intoxicated.  Among the factors that cause the spread of AIDS, alcohol is the biggest and most important factor.                                                                         5. Every alcoholic is initially a social drinker.  Some people say about their drinking that they are 'social drinkers' i.e. they drink less, they are not addicted to drinking.  They claim that they drink only one or two pegs and control themselves.  They don't get drunk.  Researchers believe that every alcoholic is initially a social drinker.  There will not be a single person who has the intention from the very beginning that he will become addicted to alcohol, no social drinker can be true in his claim or claim that he did not get intoxicated even once inspite of drinking from it.                                           6. Only one unpleasant act done by an alcoholic in a drunken stupor is the scar of life for him.  Suppose a person has become intoxicated by drinking alcohol only once and in this situation he has committed rape or any other heinous crime and he may later regret his misdeed, yet it is a fact that a simple-tempered person can  The burden of this crime cannot be met in any way.  Keeps carrying it for life and has said the wound and damage caused to the victim                                  7. Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Sal.) has also said that alcohol is haram (i) the Prophet of God - is the most important of things.  " "Wine is the root of all evil and it is shameless (Hadis Sunan ibn Maja) (ii) "Everything in which a large quantity is intoxicating. Even a small amount of it is haram." (Hadis: Ibn Majah)

[10:33 am, 23/12/2021] Ikku: (ii) Curse and blasphemy have been sent not only to those who have consumed alcohol, but also to those people who are involved in the business of alcohol by Allah and his Prophet.  Hazrat Anas (R.A.) says that the Prophet of God, Muhammad (S.A.L.) said, "The ten people associated with alcohol are cursed and cursed by Allah who squeezes or prepares it, for which it is prepared."  The one who drinks it, delivers or sends it, to whom it is sent or delivered, to whom liquor is offered, one who sells it profiting from his income, one who buys it for himself and another to buy it (Hadis ibn Maja)                                                                                                                                      8. Diseases caused by the consumption of alcohol are the scientific reasons for the prohibition of alcohol. Most of the deaths are caused by drinking alcohol. Millions of people die every year due to its consumption. The need for this is not felt here.  It would have been possible to discuss in detail all the side effects of alcohol consumption, since most of them are well known to all.It would suffice to present here only a brief list of diseases caused by its consumption.  Cirrhosis of Liver  This is a major disease of the people.  Cancer of the oesophagus, cancer of the head, neck, liver and intestines etc. Oesophagitis Gastritis, Pancreatitis, Hepatitis All these diseases arise due to the consumption of alcohol.  Cardiomyopathy, Hypertension, Coronary Artherosclerosis,

[10:37 am, 23/12/2021] Ikku: Metronidazole (Flagyl) tablet, which is commonly used, has side effects with alcohol consumption.  Frequent infections are common among alcoholics.  To avoid diseases, the defense power and immunological defense system become ineffective inside the drinkers.  Chest infection is common among alcoholics.  Pneumonia, Lung Aboess Emphysema and Pulmonary, Tuberculosis, are common in them.  The drinker usually vomits after being intoxicated with alcohol, causing great damage to the cough reflexes which are necessary for safety.  In this way the vomit goes into the lungs and it causes pneumonia and lung abscess.  goes .  Many times it causes suffocation so that the man dies, the harm of alcohol consumption is even more for women.  Women are more prone to alcohol-related cirrhosis than men.  Drinking alcohol during pregnancy causes great harm to the fetus; Foetal Alcohol Syndrome is a well-known fact in medical fields.  Consumption of alcohol also causes skin diseases.  Eczema, Alopecia, Nail Dystrophy, Paronychia (a common problem among the alcohol-drinkers around the nail) and Angular Stomatitis (swelling of the mouth)                                                          9. Drinking alcohol itself is a disease.  Doctors express the view that drinking alcohol is not a habit, but a disease, according to the Islamic Research Foundation published a journal "If alcoholism is a disease, then it is a disease."  that

[10:38 am, 23/12/2021] Ikku: — Sold in a bottle, its advertisements are published in newspapers and magazines and TV.  and is broadcast over the radio - there are licensed shops that distribute it;  The government gets its income from it.  It causes painful deaths in the middle of the road.  Alcohol destroys and ruins family life and increases the rate of crime.  "                                                               10. Drinking alcohol is not only a disease but a diabolical act. God has made us aware of this trick of the devil. Islam is a natural religion, its teachings protect the natural conditions of man. Drinking alcohol is in fact its nature to man.  Consumption of alcohol, both at the individual level and also at the social level, puts man in a worse condition than the animals, while the human being, as he himself claims to be higher than the animals and the best creature in the whole creation  Keeping in view all the above details, Islam has prohibited alcohol.
